At Afonwen, we are experts at dealing with large volumes of linen on a mammoth scale. Each week we are processing hundreds of thousands of items of dirty linen which means we gain a real understanding of our customers and the dirty linen they generate, as well as selecting linen that performs well in a commercial laundry environment and maintains its quality through repeated wash cycles.

In order to keep things simple so that problems do not go wrong, we only supply and process our own linen, hiring our stock to customers and providing a prompt and efficient collection and delivery service.

Bed Linen

We offer two ranges of bed linen to meet individual customer requirements:

Standard Bed linen range

A classic range of traditional cotton sheets, pillowcases, plain cotton white or higher quality satin stripe duvet covers and 525gsm hand towels, bath towels or bath sheets and a comfy bath mat. These tried and tested products have been supplied by us for many years to a wide range of national hotel groups and family-run establishments.

Premier Egyptian Cotton Bed linen range

We also offer a Premier range of the finest Italian-woven 200 thread count Egyptian Cotton sheets with beautiful oxford-style pillowcases and some of the highest quality towels offered in our industry with a 650gsm hand towel and bath sheet that is the ultimate thick and fluffy white bath sheet, together with a 1000gsm luxurious bath mat.

Many Hotel Guests love our premier range of linen so much we are being constantly asked to supply the linen to members of the public who contact us after staying at our customer hotels and the quality of our linen is frequently mentioned in the Good Hotel Guide and other leading hotel reviews. As the ultimate in luxury and comfort, we can pretty much guarantee your guests will say they loved the quality of linen they slept on!

Table linen

We supply 100% damask cotton white table linen woven in Croatia as standard. We support this offering a range of Signature Plus coloured table linen to suit all types of colour schemes. We also offer the flexibility of one-off and occasional hires of a range of colours to enable our customers to offer choice and flexibility for weddings and other special events.

We also supply a premier range of beautiful, crisp, white Italian-woven satin band table linen for a number of our most prestigious customers, including a few who have secured a star to two for the quality of their food and with high quality linen to match!

Chefs Wear

We supply and launder Chef's jackets, trousers, aprons and neckerchiefs, enabling our customers to take some of the heat and pressure off their kitchen brigades when they need it most. Our dedicated chefs wear team ensures we supply uniforms to fit all shapes and sizes, offering a regular delivery and collection system using a soiled linen collector, if required.

Customer service and support

Working closely alongside our customers, our highly experienced customer service team provides regular stock taking and constant customer care and support, ensuring stock levels are closely monitored and controlled, making sure customers gain the most out of the service that we offer.

As well as regular monthly stock takes for larger customers, Afonwen's customer service team regularly conducts emergency stocktaking if anything goes wrong at the customers end. Housekeeper on holiday and in a pickle? We will happily step in and help!

Transport & distribution

Afonwen also has a full-time dedicated transport manager who is responsible for managing the distribution of over 750,000 items of linen a week. Working closely with the head of our loading team and customer service team, our transport manager operates a fleet of over 20 HGV vehicles and 3 smaller vans for ad-hoc and occasional drop offs around 30 drivers, ensuring we provide a regular and efficient delivery and collection service.
